The original cabin, "The Acorn", is a tiny building on the same lot. It has just enough room for a bed a shower, toilet room and a sink. For a long time it has just been used as storage so we decided to tear out the walls and make room for more.

John did most of the work. His mom and I mostly took out all the wood he was tearing down and loaded in the truck to haul away. I did cut the pipes to the shower and use the crowbar a few times. Should have gotten a picture of that! Around lunchtime though I decided I would probably be more productive in the kitchen, so I went in to put together some Greek dip.

I forgot to take pictures after we cleaned up and John built some shelves in the corner. We were done working by about three and cooled off in the lake before dinner. We sat around on the deck with the dogs and had some wine. Later that night we played Crainium. John and I won by me acting out World War II. Crazy because I am a not good at acting or history. Somehow he guessed it.
Sunday morning we had coffee and pancakes before heading back to Greenville. John had soccer practice at five and I went to play soccer mom and practice a little with my camera.
We had a relaxing weekend, hope you did too!
